The origin of the name comes from the initials of the founder: LS, which has the same pronunciation as Ellesse. The logo depicts a tennis ball in the center and two ski tips at its ends, sports appreciated by Leonardo Servadio. The brand gained popularity during the 1970s as a ski equipment supplier. In 1979, the Jet Pant, ski pants with padded knees and widened legs, was presented at an event dedicated to Italian fashion design at the Pompidou center in Paris. [2] During the 1970s and 1980s, Ellesse becomes renowned for combining sportswear and urban fashion, sportswear.
